I just had this idea where I would put a texture map of the world in the background of the site logo, and then use a daylight/nighttime texture to show which parts of the world are in daylight, and generate this in real time on the site. I have to find out if PHP can load a 24 bit PNG with alpha transparency and actually draw it on top of another image correctly.

I guess I felt guilty about not creating anything cool today so I modified my image matrix script and made image matrix 2. Image matrix is a PHP script that creates an image out of thumbnails from other images.

Version 2 pulls the images from a database. It finds the latests images posted in a subject and then produces an image based on thumbnails of the images in the subject. Now I need to write a script that periodically creates these images and stores them in the database.

I wasn't very productive today computer-wise. I didn't think of a cool way to display SproutPaint in Flash. All I have done so far is to change the color scheme of my page slightly.

I found an interesting problem in Firefox. I am using sessions to track which subject the person viewing the forums is in. When there are mulitple tabs in a window, they share the same session, so if I were posting a message in 2 tabs in different subjects, the messages could post in the subject of the another tab (the one last clicked on). I will investigate this more.

I am going to write a PHP program to make custom bullets in a bulleted list. It should be pretty easy to write and have some cool presentation effects.

I wrote a PHP class that creates div sections to surround any content. I am going to incorporate a themeable interface.

I downloaded and installed PalmOS development suite today. It's a nice start for a free tool. I can't get it to compile anything that will run on the simulator though :(
Maybe I still need to buy codewarrior 9 after all...

I just upgraded to the 1.0 version and am trying to port SproutPaint to it.

So far I have to change a bunch of my code:

I have to put curly braces around each case that defines a variable inside a switch statement.

I have to declare all variables at the beginning of each function.

Hopefully I wont need to do much more than that. I really would like to get SproutPaint running with PODS.

Thanks for your help and advice on my website. I'm looking forward to a successful launch in the near future.

My goals:
1) Update the graphics to look more digital/electronica
2) Get the music DB up and running
3) Put links for my merchandise of CDs, stickers, patches, clubwear, T-shirts, and club toys like glow sticks, etc.
4) Work out a way to sell downloadable music from my site
5) Set up a fanbase message center with avatars

Your advice is always appreciated.

I've just recently discovered your websites (I'm assuming this site and dimension3cg.com are created by you) and first of all, I just have to say, I love your work. I know a little more than the average bear about computers, graphic design, webpage design, etc. and I can't eve begin to imagine the dedication and hard work put into all of this. After I was dazzled by each and every one of your fantastic graphic designs I explored just about every page and message on the forum and I started to wonder. What is this site all about? Are you showing off your graphic designs? Are you trying to get your Palm OS programs available? Or is it just a site that you created to comfort you that all that you have worked for and learned is for nothing? It seems like you have gotten away from your graphic design and focused on web development. Which isn't a bad thing, but don't forget about the pictures! lol I guess what I mean is, I want to see more. I can't get enough of them. Do you even plan to make more? And most importantly, how do I learn? lol I would appreciate a reply and will continue comming back to your website. A reply here is fine or email me. chevyoverford69@hotmail.com Thank you for your time :)

I'm new to this site and I've got to say the webmaster is fantastic! I've had digital art training and he blows me out of the water. I can do the front end design work, but he does all of this from code! I've never seen anyone so talented in computers. Glad he's on our side!

Cheers!
