Today I have begun working on the third version of the main layout code file I use to draw this site. I am modularizing some more elements of the site to help me come up with future layouts more quickly. I wrote new PHP class at draws stuff in labeled boxes, and I have thought about writing a tabbed interface for it.

Numerous bugs have been fixed in the message board code. It should now correctly display the path of the subject you're in, and the number of posts in sub-topics.

The SproutPaint Site has been updated to include movies. The movies section will be enhanced shortly. In the meantime, download the sample divx movies I have made using HyperCam.

Sproutworks has undergone many improvements since I last posted. You can now upload an image with each post and everything is more stylized. There are also user blogs now, in case you feel like journaling. The forums code is constantly improving, and I am gearing up for more OO support in PHP 5.

SproutWorks has moved to a new web host, jiffynet.net. I switched from dawebworks.com because jiffynet offers more storage and bandwidth for a fraction of the price I was paying before. So far I've had to tweak my code a little, but it looks good now. :)

The user avatars now auto resize thanks to some late night hacking. You can upload any jpeg or png image and it will shrink it to fit inside the confines of an avatar. Stay tuned for an all new emoticon system.
